Matt Badiali: Investing and Strategies

Matt Badiali graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Earth Science. He then went on to Florida Atlantic University where he completed an M.S. in Geology. Five years were then spent working on a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina. It was here, that Matt Badiali was introduced to finance. His friend had a finance Ph.D. and realized the need for Matt’s knowledge in geology and science to cultivate investing methods. Matt is now very renowned in the investment industry. He openly talks about his startup ideas, a typical day, how to bring ideas to life, his learning experiences, business strategies, and what he would redo if he could.

Changes to an electric-centric world is a trend that Matt finds very intriguing. The worst job he had was working in Miami as an environmental geologist. The work was dangerous and dirty. He often thinks that interning would have been a better way to go. Matt has also had his share of bad investments. He advises selling it, and moving on. In the automobile industry, there is a shift to electric cars. He suggests this is the next big business to be in.
